The final headliner this year’s British Summer Time festival has been announced – with Paul Simon bringing ‘The Farewell Performance’ to London’s Hyde Park. Full dates and ticket details are below.

Joining the likes of The Cure, Roger Waters and Eric Clapton, the Simon & Garfunkel star turned solo icon will be closing this year’s festival with his ‘Homeward Bound’ show – joined by special guests James Taylor and Bonnie Pratt, with many more to be announced.

“There is no finer way to close Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2018 than watching Paul Simon take London on a musical odyssey through one of the most remarkable song books in history,” said AEG Presents Senior Vice President James King. “Paul, James and Bonnie all together on the Great Oak Stage has to be the show of the summer and a truly unmissable event.”

Simon, recently covered by the likes of Coldplay and Lorde, is expected to play classics from across his career – in a show which many are believing could well be one his last, if not his final gig.

Paul Simon will be headlining British Summer Time Festival on Sunday July 15. Tickets are available through Barclaycard pre-sale now before going on general sale from 9am on Tuesday 2 February and will be available here.

Simon has often hinted at retirement over recent years.

“It’s an act of courage to let go,” Simon said in 2016. “I am going to see what happens if I let go. Then I’m going to see, who am I? Or am I just this person that was defined by what I did? And if that’s gone, if you have to make up yourself, who are you?”

Paul Simon’s latest album, the acclaimed ‘Stranger To Stranger’, came out in 2016.
