Pinegrove cancel upcoming tour dates following sexual coercion accusation

Pinegrove have confirmed the cancellation of all of their upcoming tour dates as they continue their hiatus following allegations of sexual coercion that were aimed at their frontman.

Evan Stephens Hall was accused of sexual coercion back in November. While the details about the accusation have not been made public, Hall responded to the allegations at the time in a lengthy statement.

Hall claimed that he “absolutely never threatened” the woman in question, saying: “I never leveraged anything against her. I believed all of our decisions to be based in love.”

However, the frontman added: “I am coming to terms with the fact that I monumentally misread the situation. I am trying earnestly to follow this line as deeply as it goes to reflect on all of the things I could have done, and can do, better.”

Pinegrove issued a further update on their current status today (January 29), informing fans that they wouldn’t be fulfilling any more tour commitments.

“Pinegrove are continuing their hiatus and taking an extended period of time off the road,” the statement reads. “The band has cancelled the upcoming tour dates. Refunds are available from point of purchase – online ticket buyers will receive notification and a refund in the next 3-5 days. Thank you.”

The tour dates in question were due to take place in the UK, Europe and Australia. The New Jersey band axed their US tour shortly after the accusation surfaced late last year.
