Lady Gaga has shared a new piano version of ‘Joanne’ after teasing the track earlier this week.

‘Joanne’ is the title track of her most recent album. Released in October 2016, the record went platinum a year later and has earned Gaga a 2018 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.

The singer shared the full-length, stripped back version of ‘Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?)’ yesterday (Jan 26) and you can watch it below.

The release of this new version has prompted speculation that she’ll perform it at the Grammys tomorrow (January 28), and that the piano version will mark the end the ‘Joanne’ era.

Money will also be donated to the Lupus Research Alliance in honour of her late aunt, who died at 19 in 1974 from Lupus, twelve years before Gaga was born. On Instagram, she wrote: “Please consider a donation to this tremendous organization”.

Gaga said: “I never met her, but she’s been one of the most important figures in my life”. She credits her aunt’s unpublished poetry as an inspiration for her work, and for helping her overcome her drug addiction.

Last month, Lady Gaga announced that she will be taking up residency in Las Vegas for a series of shows spanning 74 dates, beginning in December 2018.

In a statement, the singer added that she would “leave my heart on the stage every single night”.

Variety reports the run will begin with 74 dates, but could extend to more. Gaga is said to be earning more than $1 million (£750k) per show.

Other artists set to take the Park Theater stage in 2018 include Bruno Mars and Cher.
