Timothée Chalamet rapped the hook to Cardi B‘s ‘Bartier Cardi’ as he paid tribute to the rising rapper on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night (January 21) – watch a clip of the rap below.

Chalamet attended the pre-Oscars awards ceremony last night after being nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his part in Call Me By Your Name. It was Gary Oldman, however, who took home the prize in that category for his performance as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

Speaking on the red carpet prior to the ceremony, Chalamet professed his love for New York City, Cardi and Mary J. Blige during an interview with Access.

“Well, they’re both New Yorkers and they’re both from The Bronx. My grandparents are from The Bronx, I live in the Bronx, and the music is lit,” the actor said.

He then revealed that his go-to Cardi B track was her break-out song ‘Bodak Yellow’ – although he then briefly performed a snippet of her latest single, ‘Bartier Cardi’. Check out a clip of the moment below.
