A$AP Mob’s annual Yams concert celebrating the late ASAP Yams was cut short yesterday (January 18) after alleged fighting broke out.

Taking place at the New York Expo Center in the Bronx, the event featured performances from A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and the other members of $SAP Mob as well as Lil Yachty and Nav. It was also set to feature French Montana, Flatbush Zombies, Playboi Carti, and more before the event was cut short.

According to Billboard, fighting erupted backstage at around 10:30 p.m., with some reporting hearing sounds that resembled gunshots. NYPD said that there had been a “crowd control” issue and attendees evacuated the venue without their intervention.

They also stated that there was “no gunshots and no injuries” at the concert. You can watch footage posted on Twitter by attendees below.

Earlier this month, A$AP Rocky took to Instagram to share snippets of new music, after the rapper wiped his account clean.

The star has been teasing new material for some time, and has previously confirmed that Skepta is set to guest star on his next album, which will follow 2015’s ‘At. Long. Last. ASAP’.

Speaking about the recording process, Rocky recently disclosed that he’d been working on the album in London.

“It’s just special to me for some reason,” he said. “I’m just… I express myself way better when I’m in an environment that allows me to be. When I’m here, for the most part, I’m in a peaceful, creative environment and I’m testing the waters and making new music, messing around with new sounds and anything that’s innovative.”
