The Foo Fighters frontman and Nirvana drummer has one "last" group he wants to check off his bucket list

Dave Grohl has revealed the one band he still wants to drum for in a new interview.

The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer has collaborated with a wide range of artists in his career, including The Melvins, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Tenacious D, Queens Of The Stone Age, and David Bowie.

Speaking to Forbes, Grohl said now he only had one act left on his bucket list to cross off – AC/DC.

“That’s my last one, that’s it,” he said, adding the return of their original drummer might put paid to his dream for now.

“Phil Rudd is back though. If you dive back into their back catalogue, that early shit, there was a little bit more dynamic, then they settled into the groove. That’s the thing. And it’s because of Phil Rudd. It’s AC/DC, but that guy holds the key.”

Grohl was speaking at an all-star benefit encouraging people to vote in the midterm elections in the US tomorrow (November 6). Also at the event, he joined Yeah Yeah Yeahs on drums for a performance of their track ‘Heads Will Roll’, before later accompanying Beck for a rendition of ‘Where It’s At’.

Meanwhile, Grohl and his Foo Fighters bandmate Taylor Hawkins recently surprised fans when they made an appearance at a recent Metallica show. Comedian Jim Breuer, who opened for the metal band, filmed the pair backstage, with the images then been shown on the big screens in the arena.
