Lil Yachty hits back at critic of his NFL halftime show

He was the musical guest at the Falcons verse Giants football game

Lil Yachty has responded to a critic who described his halftime show at the Falcons versus Giants football game as “absolute trash.”

The rapper was the musical guest at the NFL game on Monday night (October 22), performing his track ‘Everything Good Everything Right’.

However, baseball pitcher Travis Blackley didn’t seem so keen on Lil Yachty’s performance. In a now deleted tweet, he wrote: “Absolute trash! How does this even pass for talent! Nothing about this so called music is real! What’s ur voice actually sound like without Autotune? It can’t be any worse that this!”

Lil Yachty decided to respond to the tweet, poking fun at Blackley for being a “free agent” – this means that he’s currently not on any team. “That’s why u a free agent bitch,” the rapper tweeted, while quoting Blackley’s original post. You can see that tweets plus a clip of Lil Yachty’s performance below.

In a three-star review, NME described Lil Yachty’s new album ‘Nuthin’ 2 Prove’ as “stylistically split into two parts, with the first seven tracks essentially blurring into one long boastful, trap-driven drudge (with the notable exception of the refreshing ‘Yacht Club’, as its engaging back-and-forth with Juice WRLD provides a much-needed boost).”

Last week (October 18), it was announced that Migos’ much-anticipated next album ‘Culture III’ is set for an early 2019 release. The rap trio, signed to the same record label as Lil Yachty, released their previous two studio albums – ‘Culture I’ and ‘Culture II’ – in January 2017 and January 2018 respectively.

“We’ll be at the top of 2019,” Quavo told the Associated Press when queried about a possible release date for the next Migos project. “We’re going to hit them with ‘Culture III’.”

‘Culture III’ will be Migos’ fourth full-length studio album. Their debut LP, ‘Yung Rich Nation’, was released back in July 2015.
