The book is the follow-up to 2016's 'Porcelain'

Moby has announced details of a new memoir to be released next year, called Then It Fell Apart.

The musician previously released a memoir in 2016 with Porcelain. The new book is said to be a follow-up to that release.

In a press release, Then It Fell Apart is described as “a journey into the dark heart of fame and the demons that lurk beneath the bling and bluster of the celebrity lifestyle.”

US late-night TV host Stephen Colbert is also quoted as saying: “Somehow this chronicle of a long, dark night of the soul also involves funny stories involving Trump, Putin, and a truly baffling array of degenerates.”

Then It Fell Apart will be released on May 2, 2019, and will be published by Faber Social. It is available for pre-order now.

Earlier this year, Moby put his entire record collection up for sale. Signed LPs, rare releases, test pressings, and more were made available on his Reverb online shop in June in a bid to raise money for charity.

Proceeds from the sales were donated to the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine who work “with policymakers, industry, the medical community, the media, and the public to create a better future for people and animals.”

Meanwhile, the musician was sampled by rapper A$AP Rocky on his track, ‘A$AP Forever’. The track featured on Rocky’s third studio album, ‘Testing‘, and interpolated Moby’s 1999 song ‘Porcelain’.
