 Add to favorites

"Attention seeking nonsense".

Guns ‘N Roses legend Axl Rose has accused Kanye West of being an attention seeker, after the rap icon met with Donald Trump at the White House yesterday.

The ‘Ye’ star met with Trump inside the Oval Office with a televised sit-down between the rapper, the President and the former NFL player Jim Brown taking place prior to a working lunch which was set to focus on such topics as urban revitalisation, new workforce training programs and more.

During the televised section of their meeting, West launched into a wild 10-minute-long address which touched on a number of subjects.

“Let’s stop worrying about the future, all we have is today,” West said, before elaborating on his support for the current President.”Trump is on his hero’s journey right now. He might not have thought he’d have a crazy motherfucker like me [supporting him].”

Now, Axl Rose has leant his voice to the high profile critics who have hit out at Kanye’s continued close relationship with the divisive leader.

What a joke. Not gonna solve anything in Chicago or anywhere else with any of that attention seeking nonsense.

Oh n’ don’t let any of this distract from the Khashoggi killing.

“What a joke. Not gonna solve anything in Chicago or anywhere else with any of that attention seeking nonsense”, Rose wrote on Twitter.

The reference to Chicago comes after it was suggested that West would use his Presidential visit to discuss new initiatives for solving crime in his native Windy City.

Rose also claimed that West’s much-publicised visit was at risk of overshadowing the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi Arabian journalist who disappeared after visiting the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last weekend.

Khashoggi is an outspoken critic of the Saudi Arabian government and it is is feared that he may have been kidnapped and murdered by an authorised hit squad. Trump, a close ally of Saudi Arabia, has said that the US is investigating Khashoggi’s disappearance.

Meanwhile, it was claimed in August that Axl Rose is working on new Guns N’Roses material after the classic line up of the rock icons reunited in 2017.
