The Florida rapper was shot dead on June 18

A second suspect has been arrested in relation to XXXTentacion‘s murder.

The Florida rapper, 20, was shot and killed as he was leaving a motorcycle dealership in Broward County on June 18.

Michael Boatwright, 22, has been arrested on first-degree murder charges, the Broward Sheriff’s Office have confirmed. According to the Associated Press, Boatwright was arrested last week on an unrelated drug charge.

Dedrick Williams, also 22, was the first suspect to be arrested in the case. He was detained last month after authorities identified him by the bright orange sandals he was wearing in CCTV footage from the motorcycle store. Investigators found images of him in similar or the same footwear on his Instagram account. Williams’ lawyer has said he will plead not guilty.

Police are still looking to talk to “person of interest” Robert Allen, who they believe may have information about XXXTentacion’s murder. A warrant is also out for Allen’s arrest on charges of violating his probation for possession of synthetic street drug flakka and carrying a concealed firearm.

Meanwhile, a new line of “official memorial merch” has been announced following the rapper’s death. A new eight-piece collection remembering XXXTentacion is set to be released according to a member of the star’s team, who said they were inspired by the rise of bootleg merchandise featuring his likeness.

It follows a series of memorials for the rapper. Fans in London paid their respects to him in Hyde Park this weekend, while the Florida Panthers’ stadium was recently the site of an official memorial and open casket viewing.
