Last night saw The Killers play a surprise last minute show at Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut following their huge headline set at the city’s TRNSMT Festival. Check out footage and the setlist below.

The show was quietly announced on Friday morning, with tickets on sale only to fan club members and TRNSMT Festival ticket holders and sold out within five minutes.

Honouring the occasion, the band squeezed on to the tiny stage to open their gig to the rowdy 300-capacity crowd with an outing of ‘Mignight Show’ from their seminal debut ‘Hot Fuss’, before ripping into raucous and career-spanning 12 track set.

Asked about their thoughts on their next album, frontman Brandon Flowers told NME: “It’s just all evolution and you learn from each record. It’s funny, I’ve found that I wait for it to present itself to me. I don’t necessarily say ‘I’m going in and this is the record I’m going to make’. I don’t think you can force it because whether you like it or not, things that you’ve absorbed in the last couple of years since are going to expose themselves and it’s going to be different to what you had planned.”

DrummerRonnie Vannucci Jr added: “I do. I’m constantly messing around with things and I see a lot online with people who are working with experimental sounds – with either electronic synthesisers and things like that or even a straight-out jazz record.

“There’s a lot of great stuff going on underneath our feet and maybe the pop world will finally catch up to it 20 or 30 years later. I’d like to sort of tap into it a little bit. I don’t want to totally lose anybody but there’s still a lot to be discovered and I think keeping with the tradition of always trying something new with a record might be something for us to look into.”
