Krept & Konan will fill in for the Stratford MC at the Finsbury Park festival this weekend

J Hus has been replaced on the Wireless Festival bill following his arrest for possession of a knife.

Hus posted bail yesterday (July 3) following his arrest on June 21 in Stratford, east London. He was charged with “suspicion of being in possession of a knife or bladed article” after police stopped the rapper’s car, and is still set to face trial for the charges on July 20.

The MC, who released his critically-acclaimed and Mercury-nominated debut album ‘Common Sense’ last year, was set to perform at the Saturday leg (July 7) of Wireless Festival this weekend, but his slot has now been filled by Krept & Konan.

Organisers announced the line-up change with a short statement, writing: “Due to unforeseen circumstances J Hus will no longer be performing.”

We are pleased to announce that @KreptandKonan, @officialAvelino, @OfficialChip @DBlockEurope and @ambushbuzzworl are joining the #WirelessFest line up! Due to unforeseen circumstances, J Hus and Fredo will no longer be performing.

A source close to the festival told that Wireless had been waiting to see how Hus’ legal case would proceed before making their decision.

Hus had also been set to perform at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow last weekend, but was forced to cancel the set due to his arrest. His slot at the festival was taken by Glaswegian musician Gerry Cinnamon.

Hus released his debut EP ‘Big Spang’ back in May.
