The iconic grunge outfit had to cancel the show after singer Eddie Vedder completely lost his voice. The group had already played one night at the venue, receiving acclaimed reviews.

Speaking about the cancellation, Pearl Jam wrote on Twitter: “Singer Eddie Vedder has completely lost his voice. He is on vocal rest for the next few days in an effort to heal and perform the remainder of the tour dates.

“It’s the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have travelled and made plans.”

They added: “Sending their biggest apologies out to everyone. And huge gratitude for all their continued support.”

Meanwhile, Eddie Vedder’s wife hit back at Melania Trump by wearing a statement jacket on stage last week (June 22) at a Pearl Jam gig.

It was in response to The First Lady’s controversial jacket which said “I really don’t care. Do u?” when she visited children separated from their parents at the United States-Mexico border.

Jill Vedder wore her own jacket with her husband inviting her onstage during the show. He explained that it was their wedding anniversary and they first met in Milan.

The back of Vedder’s jacket read: “Yes we all care. Y don’t u?”

At the band’s London, show, Vedder dedicated ‘Love Boat Captain’ to President Trump saying ““I would like him to hear it but he doesn’t listen to music or read books.”

He added: “Could someone tweet this to him or something? For mom’s and dad’s and children being separated at the border. That isn’t the country I remember.”

The band have said that all tickets for the original date will remain valid and have advised fans to contact their point of purchase with any ticket enquiries.
