"I’ve been working daily to get back. Slowly but surely."

SZA has confirmed that her voice isn’t permanently damaged, after suffering from swollen vocal cords.

In a series of since-deleted tweets last month, the singer confirmed that her withdrawal from the TDE Championship tour was a direct result of vocal cord damage.

“My voice is permanently injured. Tonight was the test. That settles that”, the singer wrote at the time.

But she’s now confirmed that her vocal cords are well on the way to recovery, after she received extensive medical treatment.

Thank u to the incredible team of Doctors and vocal technicians that have taken time to see me over the last few weeks in every city. I’m blessed to say my voice is not permanently damaged and i’ve been working daily to get back. Slowly but surely.

She also returned to live action last night for an appearance at Delaware’s Firefly Festival.

Speaking to NME last year, SZA opened up on the acclaim of debut album ‘CTRL’, and how a follow-up will be influenced by an interest in environmental issues.
