The special release will be available... "later!"

The soundtrack to Luca Guadagnino’s Oscar-winning film Call Me By Your Name is set for a physical release, and later this summer it will be pressed onto peach-scented and peach-coloured vinyl.

7,777 copies of the limited edition ‘Peach Harvest Season’ record will be available.

In one of Call Me By Your Name‘s most infamous scenes, one of the film’s leads Elio (played by ‎Timothée Chalamet) masturbates using a peach. When his love interest Oliver (portrayed by Armie Hammer) discovers the peach later on, he tries to eat it. The new peachy record is being issued by Music Vinyl, and will be available from August 3.

Sufjan Stevens contributed two new songs – ‘Visions of Gideon’ and ‘Mystery of Love’ – to the film’s soundtrack, which also features music from 80s band The Psychedelic Furs, and Joe Esposito and Giorgio Moroder’s ‘Lady Lady’ collaboration.

Earlier this year the film’s director confirmed plans for a Call Me By Your Name sequel. Guadagnino said that a possible follow-up would be set five or six years after the original events took place, and that he is working on plot points with André Aciman, the author of the novel upon which the film is based.

“I’m already conceiving the story with André Aciman, and it’s gonna happen five or six years afterwards,” Guadagnino told USA Today. “It’s gonna be a new movie, a different tone.

He also said that lead actors Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet would return for a sequel, which he hopes to release in 2020.
