Dave Grohl‘s stuntman – who this week pretended to reenact the Foo Fighters frontman’s infamous leg break at a gig in Sweden in 2015 – has been revealed as Swedish stunt professional Svante Hildesson.

Grohl tricked fans at the Gothenburg gig on Tuesday night (June 5) after someone who looked like the frontman was seen falling from the stage at the beginning of the show – with Grohl then appearing from behind drummer Taylor Hawkins’ kit to reassure fans that he hadn’t sustained another injury. Check out footage of the prank below.

As Alternative Nation reports, Hildesson’s recent employment as Grohl’s stuntman has now been revealed on Instagram. The stuntman has worked on such films as Melancholia (2011), The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared (2013) and Arn: The Knight Templar (2007).

Footage of Hildesson’s part in the prank has also been posted to Instagram, as well as a backstage shot of Hildesson and Grohl together before the show – see those below.

It was announced this week that Grohl and his mother Virginia will be producing a new documentary series based on Virginia’s book about the mothers of famous musicians.

Virginia Hanlon Grohl’s 2017 work From the Cradle to the Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars will serve as the basis for the new show, which has yet to be purchased by a TV network.
