Drake may have been a ghostwriter on Kanye West’s new album ‘ye’

It’s been claimed that Drake had a hand in the writing process of Kanye West‘s new album, ‘ye’.

The latter’s eighth studio album arrived last Friday (June 1) and features collaborations with the likes of Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih – but Drake wasn’t included on the official list of collaborators.

Hot 97 host Peter Rosenberg has now made the claim that Drake was a ghostwriter on ‘ye’, with Rosenberg alleging that Drake provided West with the melody in the chorus of ‘Yikes’.

“It is now a confirmed thing that Drake wrote the hook for ‘Yikes’,” Rosenberg said with some certainty on yesterday morning’s (June 4) edition of Ebro In The Morning. The DJ also said that G.O.O.D. Music made the decision to leave Drake’s name off the credits. Check out the segment below.

If true, Drake’s contribution to ‘ye’ follows on from his work on the ‘Life of Pablo’ tracks ’30 Hours’ and ‘Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1’.

The claims come during the ongoing beef between Drake and Pusha-T, with the Toronto rapper still yet to respond to the latter’s diss track ‘The Story of Adidon’. That song made a number of claims about Drake’s private life and used an old picture of Drake in blackface as its official artwork.

Rosenberg’s claims are part of the latest developments in the Drake/Pusha-T beef – with Drake affiliate J Prince having also claimed this week that Drake’s rumoured response to ‘The Story of Adidon’ could’ve been potentially “career-ending” for West.
