Drake hits out at Pusha T and Kanye West with new diss track ‘Duppy Freestyle’

Drake has responded to Pusha T‘s new song ‘Infrared’, in which the rapper mocks Drake’s alleged use of a ghost writer.

“It was written like Nas/ But it came from Quentin,” Pusha T raps on the track, taken from new album ‘Daytona’.

The album, released yesterday (May 25) is produced by Kanye West. West also lends a verse on one of its tracks, titled ‘What Would Meek Do?’.

Drake has hit out at the diss with a new freestyle he’s dubbing ‘Duppy Freestyle’. “Don’t push me when I’m in album mode, you’re not even top five as far as your label talent goes,” Drake raps the track.

“I had a microphone of yours, but then the signature faded, I think that pretty much resembles what has been happening lately,” he adds.

Drake also disses Kanye West, rapping, “What do you really think of the nigga that’s making your beats?/ I’ve done things for him I thought he never would need/ Father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me/ I pop style for 30 hours, then let him repeat.” You can listen to ‘Duppy Freestyle’ here.

Pusha T’s new album also caused controversy after a photo of Whitney Houston’s drug-ridden bathroom was used for its cover art.

The photo was reportedly taken at the height of Houston’s issues with addiction in 2006, and was purchased after Kanye became unhappy with the album’s original cover. The rapper paid $85,000 for the rights to use it on the album.
