The Libertines, Patti Smith, Thurston Moore and others are set to perform at a benefit event for Palestinian refugee children.

Artists, musicians, and celebrities will come together on June 4 at The Roundhouse in London to raise money and awareness for Palestinian children living in refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza.

The night, organised by British children’s charity HOPING, will be hosted by comedian John Bishop. The Libertines will headline, while VO5 NME Awards 2018 winner Loyle Carner will also appear alongside Smith and Moore.

Between performances, the likes of footballer Eric Cantona and comedian Frankie Boyle will read poetry and other works. There will also be a range of limited edition posters for sale, designed by artists like Sarah Lucas, Tracey Emin, and Massive Attack‘s 3D.

In a press release, co-founder of the HOPING Foundation Bella Freud said: “With these outstanding rockers and artists, performing for Hoping at the Roundhouse on June 4th – giving their time and their talent – we are able to raise awareness for the Palestinian refugee children we support, and hold in our hearts.”

Tickets for the benefit will go on sale tomorrow (May 15) at midday and can be purchased from The Roundhouse’s website. More guests will be added to the line-up soon.

Meanwhile, The Libertines are curating a festival this summer. They will headline Kent’s Wheels & Fins festival in September, and will be bringing a “fantabulous cornucopia of musical delights” with them. No details of who they have invited to perform have been announced at present.
