Kanye West has discussed a wide range of topics in a massive video interview with radio host Charlamagne.

During the chat, which stretches to a hour and a half, West opens up about his mental health problems, his wife Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris, his strained friendship with Jay-Z and support for Trump.

“I think I’m in a stronger place than I ever was – after the breakdown, or I like to say, the breakthrough,” he says.

He adds later of his controversial comments: “There will be mistakes, there will be flaws in the way I communicate. Because we’re human beings, we’re flawed. I’m not media trained. I’m not studied in that. I’m not trying to say the right thing. I’m just trying to say exactly what I feel out of love.”

Kanye also talks about being Obama’s “favourite artist”, not getting played on the radio and returning to Twitter.

On being called a “jackass” by Obama: “I just think that we were in a period where he had so much stuff to deal with, he couldn’t deal with a wild card like me. I think that’s too unpredictable. Someone that wasn’t being controlled by strategy and thoughts, but someone who’s acting on feelings.”

Kanye recently caused controversy by saying that he “loves” Donald Trump and posting photos of himself in a Make America Great Again hat.

Last weekend, Kanye dropped two new songs, titled ‘Ye. vs the People’ and ‘Lift Yourself’.

West’s new album will be the follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’. Here’s everything we know about the release so far.
