Kanye West’s mother’s plastic surgeon responds to photo being used as new album cover

Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who performed a procedure on Kanye West‘s mother the day before she died, has responded to news that West is intending to use a photo of him as the artwork for his new album.

At the weekend, Kanye shared a screenshot on Twitter of a conversation between him and someone called Wes (potentially his ‘Yeezus’ art collaborator Wes Lang, or new GOOD Music signee Sheck Wes) in which he asked for title ideas. Wes replied: “LOVE EVERYONE.” Kanye’s response? “I love that.”

In the same chat with “Wes”, West shared a photo of Jan Adams, who he explained performed his mother’s “final surgery”. “This is my album cover,” he wrote. “I want to forgive and stop hating.”

West’s mother Donda died in 2007 of heart disease and “multiple post-operative factors” the day after Adams performed liposuction and breast reduction surgery on her.

Approached by The Blast via text message, Adams simply replied about the news: “It’s a Macguffen…” A MacGuffin is a plot device in films, representing things are often unimportant in themselves but serve a symbolic purpose.

Kanye has been very active on Twitter over the past week or so, causing controversy with some of his remarks, including saying that he “loves” Donald Trump, and posting photos of himself in a Make America Great Again hat.

West’s new album will be the follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Life Of Pablo’. Here’s everything we know about the release so far.
