Ariana Grande to return with first music since Manchester terror attack

After revealing that she was at work on new music at the end of last year, it looks like Ariana Grande will return with a new single at the end of April.

Variety reports that the singer will release the first single from her forthcoming album – rumoured to feature collaborations with Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Pharrell Williams – on April 27. The new material will mark Grande’s first new music since the Manchester terror attack.

Last May, 22 people were killed when the American artist’s arena concert in the city was targeted by a terrorist bombing. She responded to the tragedy by organising the One Love Manchester benefit concert, raising £2 million for charity. She was later made an honorary citizen of the city.

Ariana Grande’s new album is apparently deeply personal, and shaped by her own experiences over the last two years. It will be her first since 2016’s ‘Dangerous Woman’.

After a leaked snippet surfaced online earlier this month, there is widespread speculation that Ariana Grande is collaborating with Dua Lipa on a song called ‘Bad To You’. It’s not yet clear if this rumoured song is destined for Grande’s new album.
