Miles Kane has spoken out about his new album – ‘Coup De Grace’ – who will feature on the singer-songwriter’s third album and what it’ll sound like.

Kane was last heard on an album on The Last Shadow Puppets’ second full-length album ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’ in 2016 and performing more recently in his Beatles cover band with Muse’s Matt Bellamy.

In an interview with Evening Standard, Kane spoke further into the reported collaborations with Lana Del Rey, saying: “we’ve written a lot of songs together. One of them is on this album, and it’s fucking great” as well as his work with indie misfit Jamie T: “it was amazing, in the first week we did about three tunes just in my apartment’” which apparently sound “just so upbeat and sort of punky”.

Speaking on the ‘tentative’ title of the new album, ‘Coup De Grace’, Kane revealed that French poetry isn’t the origin of this title. Instead, it’s a reference to the finishing move of the WWE wrestling superstar Kane.

Kane also spoke on his underdog position relative to Arctic Monkeys, who have just announced their highly anticipated new album. Kane said: “When you think about it, I’m not on the level they are by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve still got a very long way to go in my career. Hopefully, you get to where you want to go”.

Miles Kane will be performing live in support of Queens of The Stone Age with performances from Iggy Pop, Run The Jewels, The Hives as well as punk icon Brody Dalle playing a ‘stripped down’ solo show.
