The follow-up to Abel Tesfaye’s third studio album ‘Starboy’ – which was released in November 2016 – has been teased by the artist in the past week, with Tesfaye posting in-the-studio clips and screenshots of conversations with his associates.

It now appears that the arrival of the next Weeknd album could be imminent, with a billboard in Shoreditch, east London appearing to reveal the title of the record – ‘My Dear Melancholy’ – with the subtitle ‘New album from The Weeknd. Available now.’ [via Clash]

As of 5pm on March 29, the new album has yet to appear on Spotify or any other major streaming services – while ‘My Dear Melancholy’ has yet to even be officially confirmed by The Weeknd as being his next project.

A source recently told Billboard that the Weeknd’s next album will see “Abel taking it back to his roots.”

Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s own Marvel comic book is set to be released this summer.

Tesfaye recently shared more details about the comic, with issue one of The Weeknd Presents: Starboy set to be released on June 13 – featuring Tesfaye as the hero of the piece.
