Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has hit out at Prime Minister in a message from the people of Manchester.

The band were performing at Manchester Arena this weekend, when Leto invited a fan on stage to take control of his Twitter account for a one off message.

After an amusing exchange with audience participation they settled on “Hey Theresa May, please call an election or resign (FUCK YOU). Love Manchester).

“You’ve got to do what the people want,” Leto tells the fan, before the ‘Seven Nation Army’ chant of ‘oh, Jeremy Corbyn’ erupted around the arena.

During a hit-packed and career-spanning set, the band also delivered their now standard cover of ‘Stay’ by Rihanna, along with two tracks from upcoming album ‘America‘.

Along with releasing new single ‘One Track Mind‘ featuring A$AP Rocky, the band announced new album ‘America’ last week. The record also features collaborations with Halsey and Zedd and is due for release on April 6.

To mark the announcement, the band have launched a billboard campaign with different ‘list’ versions of the artwork in LA’s Sunset Boulevard, New York City’s Times Square, and outside various London Underground Tube stations. Posters will also be appearing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Toronto, Mexico City, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Essen, Nürnberg, Hannover, Frankfurt, and fans are able to create their own version of the artwork here.

“For me the lists are almost like a time capsule,” said frontman Jared Leto. “Independently they may surprise, entertain or provoke, but as a group they give us a sense of the culture we are a part of and the times we are living in.”
