Paul McCartney attended the anti-gun ‘March For Our Lives’ in remembrance of his former Beatles bandmate, John Lennon.

The march today (March 24) will bring together hundreds of thousands of people across the US and internationally to protest the lack of stricter gun control laws following the proliferation of mass shooting across the US and notably the Parkland school shooting where 17 people were killed, making it one of the deadliest school shootings in history

Survivors from the Parkland school shooting have appeared on the cover of TIME magazine ahead of the March For Our Lives protest.

Jaclyn Corin, Alex Wind, Emma González, Cameron Kasky, and David Hogg are featured on the magazine’s front cover, with the coverline: “Enough.” All were present at the school on the day of the shooting, and have since come together to organise this weekend’s worldwide demonstration calling on lawmakers to help end gun violence and mass shootings in schools.

In the piece, Kasky explained the group’s motivations behind organising the protests, of which more than 800 are planned to take place on Saturday (March 24), saying: “The world failed us and we’re here to make a new one that’s going to be easier on the next generation.”
