Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again (aka NBA YoungBoy) has been indicted for alleged assault and kidnapping, according to reports.

The 18-year-old Louisiana native was arrested in February over an outstanding warrant. He was detained by police as he prepared to play a show at a nightclub in Tallahassee, Florida.

TMZ reports that the star (real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden) has been indicted for aggravated assault and kidnapping after surveillance footage allegedly showed Gaulden attacking his girlfriend, Jania Jackson. Gaulden is also accused of dragging Jackson into a hotel room, which makes up the kidnapping charge.

A grand jury in Waycross, Georgia indicted Gaulden on the two charges. Following his arrest, Gaulden was extradited to Ware County Jail in Georgia, before last week being released from jail after reportedly posting a bond of $75,000.

The rapper was previously given a suspended ten-year sentence in August 2017 after he pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Gaulden was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder over his involvement with a drive-by shooting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 2, 2016.

His sentence was suspended and he was placed on active supervised probation for three years.

The rapper, who is signed to Atlantic Records, has released ten mixtapes since 2015 – with the latest coming in the form of 2017’s ‘Fed Baby’s’, which reached No.21 on the US charts.
