The explosion comes after The Roots were forced to cancel a show at SXSW when a bomb threat was made against the venue where they were scheduled to perform on Saturday.

The Jazz pioneers were forced to scrap their appearance at Austin’s Fair Market after a threat was made by 26-year-old Trevor Weldon Ingram.

According to local reports, promoters Live Nation contacted police to report that they had received a bomb threat via email at 4:23 p.m.

After finding nothing suspicious at the venue, officers subsequently arrested Weldon Ingram who has since been charged with making a terroristic threat, an offence punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

https://t.co/NYmAcIKBv8 (thx @craftyiscool) no one is Mr “show must go on” than me. But we can’t risk our lives if we are told there was a bomb threat. I’m sure we will return to Austin ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for understanding.
