Florence + The Machine are readying a new single for next month’s Record Store Day.

The track, called ‘Sky Full Of Song’, appeared on the Dutch Record Store Day website, before being quickly taken down. As Stereogum report, the track comes on clear vinyl, with an April 21 release date planned.

It will be Florence + The Machine’s first new music since their 2016 contribution to ‘Songs From Final Fantasy XV’.

Florence + The Machine are set to headline Melt Festival this year. Having dropped their acclaimed third album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ in 2015 before stepping in to headline Glastonbury in place of Foo Fighters, Florence Welch and co’s last major shows were at festivals in 2016 – including British Summer Time where she was supported by Kendrick Lamar.

In a post on the Virgin website, Ted Cockle, CEO of Virgin Records is quoted as saying the label are “looking forward to great new music from Florence + The Machine, Blossoms, Chvrches, James Bay and Shawn Mendes” in 2018.

A biography page for Welch’s longtime collaborator Sally Herbert has also been updated to note she has worked on the string arrangements for the forthcoming record, though no indication of release date is given on the page.
