Watch Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Blink-182 read mean tweets about themselves
 Add to favorites

Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Blink-182 and more have taken part in the latest music edition of Mean Tweets on Jimmy Kimmel.

The occasional segment sees stars read out real, negative messages that Twitter users have posted about them.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz read out one tweet that said: “Fall Out Boy is like the Comic Sans MS of music. They’re both overused.”

One Twitter user published the comment: “I left more talent in my toilet this morning than Green Day has ever had.” Drummer Tre Cool responded: “I’m glad that you’re thinking about us while you’re taking dumps. We’re doing something right.” Watch those and more below.

Meanwhile, Green Day released a new greatest hits album, called ‘God’s Favourite Band‘, last year. It featured two new songs, including ‘Back In The USA’ and a new duet version of ‘Ordinary World’ with award-winning country music superstar Miranda Lambert.

The pop-punk icons’ last “Best Of” collection was 2002’s ‘International Superhits’. Since then, they’ve released a further six studio albums, with the latest being 2016’s acclaimed ‘Revolution Radio’.

The band recently shared a provocative video for ‘Back In The USA’, which saw Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool return to 1950s America to discover that all notions of a real American Dream are just a myth.
