John Lydon announces Public Image Ltd 40th anniversary tour, documentary and box set

John Lydon‘s Public Image Ltd are set to mark their 40th anniversary with a tour, documentary and box set.

It’s 40 years since Lydon left Sex Pistols and released PiL’s debut ‘First Issue’ in 1978.

The post-punk outfit will mark the milestone by heading on a tour of the UK, Europe and Japan this year.

The UK stretch of the The Public Image is Rotten tour will kick off in Bristol on May 30. Scroll below to see the dates in full.

Tickets go on pre-sale this Friday (February 23) at 11am and general sale on Monday (February 26) at the same time. See here for more details.

Further PiL activity includes the release of a career–spanning box set and a documentary of the same name.

It has also been confirmed that the band will release a career–spanning box set and a documentary of the same name as the tour later this year.

The documentary premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and was directed by Tabbert Fiiller.
