Kesha postpones tour dates due to injury
 Add to favorites

Kesha has postponed a number of live dates after suffering an injury.

The singer has revealed that she tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) following a show in Dubai on February 9.

A statement confirms that she is set to undergo surgery today (February 20) and that a period of physical rehabilitation will follow.

Shows affected include tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan this spring.

“Moving these dates is making me sick with sadness, but I tried to will this injury away and unfortunately it didn’t work,” Kesha says in a statement.

“I love you all and I’ll work every single day, as hard as I can, to recover and get back on stage as soon as possible. I’m so sorry and sending love always.”

It is not expected that Kesha’s upcoming tour with Macklemore will be affected by the injury.

Kesha and Macklemore announced back in December that one dollar from every ticket sale during their tour will go to charity.

Kesha will donate proceeds to RAINN (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network), and Macklemore will work with PLUS1 and donate to racial and social justice charity M&RL Equity Fund.

Kesha’s third album ‘Rainbow’ was released last August.
