Glastonbury has been crowned the Best Festival supported by ID&C at the VO5 NME Awards 2018 for the fifth year in a row.

Last year’s Worthy Farm event saw headline performances from Radiohead, Foo Fighters, and Ed Sheeran. The likes of The xx, Katy Perry, Lorde, Alt-J, Boy Better Know, Phoenix, Kano, Dizzee Rascal, Halsey, and Solange also played across the weekend, while The Killers made a surprise appearance on the festival’s final day.

Festival organisers Michael and Emily Eavis accepted the award from Rudimental, with Emily Eavis saying: “Thanks so much, we really, really appreciate it. We’ve had a year off this year, so see you in a couple of years.”

He will also close the ceremony with a live performance. You can catch all the action on the Facebook Live stream on NME’s official Facebook page.

Going into tonight’s ceremony, Lorde and Charli XCX led the pack with four nominations each. They were closely followed by Dua Lipa and Kasabian, who both scored three nods apiece.

Stefflon Don and Skepta opened the ceremony tonight (February 14) at London’s O2 Academy Brixton with a performance of their collaboration, ‘Ding-a-Ling’.

In addition to Liam Gallagher and the grime pair, Pale Waves, and Alt-J will also perform. Shirley Manson is set to collect the Icon award, while grime crew Boy Better Know will pick up the Innovation award.
