Kendrick Lamar has banned professional photographers from taking pictures of his ongoing ‘DAMN.’ world tour.

The Compton rapper is currently on the UK leg of his tour, which stops at London’s The O2 tonight (February 12) for the first of two huge shows.

Following reports over the weekend that Lamar had taken up the option of banning phones from his shows, a representative for the rapper has now confirmed that only professional photographers have been banned from taking photos at his gigs.

Fans will therefore still be able to use their phones freely to capture moments from Lamar’s remaining tour dates.

The representative for Lamar confirmed the decision to Pitchfork, adding that the rapper’s label, Top Dawg Entertainment, will provide images from his shows to the press.

Lamar’s decision follows similar moves by the likes of The Killers and Beyoncé, who have both taken up the option of using their own official photographer on recent arena tours.

Earlier today, Lamar’s video for the Black Panther track ‘All The Stars’ – which features his Top Dawg labelmate SZA – was accused of stealing artwork from a British/Liberian artist.
