Sympho-prog is one of the subgenres of progressive rock, which flourished in the early and mid-1970s. It differs by the complicated structure of compositions and the use of elements of classical music. In arrangements, the emphasis is on keyboard instruments, in particular analog synthesizers. Symphony-prog compositions are characterized by a solemn, often pathetic sound, a minimum of vocal parts, and also a long duration of tracks that sometimes reach 20 or more minutes.
