Soundtracks for Wes Anderson's films

Seeing one of Wes Andreson's films, you will not confuse his characteristic author's handwriting: the director is known for his extreme attention to the color scheme and the symmetrical composition of frames, and he selects the music accompaniment for the pictures with special diligence. Enjoy Anderson's musical style with a new cinematic selection from Muzmo! Animated "The Unparalleled Mr. Fox" and "The Dog Island", which is now in Russian cinemas, the films "Kingdom of the Full Moon", "Grand Budapest Hotel", "Tenenbaum Family", "Rushmore Academy" and other Anderson's works unite recognizable creative receptions - the symmetry of frames, the conventionality of the scenery, the contrast of colors and the stylization of the characters' costumes. Parodic character is added by the characteristic music of the 1960s and 1970s. The soundtrack Anderson picks up in the process of editing, and sometimes before the filming process, using ready-made compositions or references that are most suitable for the future film. Selected he shares with the composer Alexander Despal, and he, having penetrated into the director's intention, writes music that really animates Anderson's picture frames. The basis of the "Kingdom of the Full Moon" Anderson made classical music. The reference and composition of the soundtrack, which sets the tone for the music of Despal, belongs to the Englishman Benjamin Britten. Flutes and percussion imitate the birds, which are significant for the plot of the picture. Strict rhythm refers to a severe Boy Scout discipline, from the camp of which the main character escaped. Heavy percussion - drums, plates, timpani - remind of the exaggerated seriousness of what is happening. At the very beginning, Britten's symphony "A guide to the orchestra for young listeners" sounds, which "dismantles" the orchestra into components, introducing young listeners to the sound of a section. The scene of the film "Grand Budapest Hotel" was coined by Anderson, but if you use the approximate geography of central and eastern Europe and the corresponding spectator cultural expectations, then the soundtrack should be adequate to such a background. Despell had the task of providing a completely fictional world with musical content. And he excellently coped, winning for the music to the picture the Oscar of 2015. Despla used a lot of melodic references to the musical culture of central and eastern Europe. The soundtrack of jodl - Swiss national singing opens. Next come the balalaika - many, many balalaikas! After Anderson decided to make the balalaika the main instrument of the soundtrack, they managed to unite a couple of balalaika orchestras in Russia and France to record an ensemble consisting of 35 balalaika players. Meloman perfectionist, singing at his own press conferences, Anderson brings together in the tapes a collection of music in accordance with the stories. The new "Island of Dogs" - a lot of great animation scenes, combined old-fashioned, thundering, as if from Asian cinema of the 60's, Desplat soundtrack and soothing theme "I Will not Hurt You". In the puppet "The Unparalleled Mr. Fox", from which he began his work with Despal, both the Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys sound, but most of the country-style themes, and the brightest one - by the Englishman Jarvis Cocker's "Fantastic Mr. Fox AKA Petey's Song ". In the "Family Tennenbaum" a new talented Margo novel is read under "Judy Is A Punk" - Ramones. And family problems are solved in the "Train to Darjeeling" under the soulful "Les Champs-Élysées" of the legendary Joe Dassin. Editorial Muzmo collected the best tracks from the Anderson tales, which you can hear and download on the site and the application!
