Duduk - the soul of apricot tree

In Armenia the duduk is called "ciranapoh", which means "the soul of an apricot tree". Indeed, this musical instrument is most often made from apricot tree because of its peculiarity of resonating, although wood of mulberry, plum or walnut is sometimes used. Duduk sounds warmly and softly, emotionally and heartfelt, gives a sense of peace and peace. Composer Aram Khachaturyan said that this is the only tool that makes him cry.
