New Age

New Age combines elements of ethnics and light electronic music. In contrast to scattered ambient, new-age compositions always have a melody and folk instruments from different countries are often used. This music promotes relaxation and self-knowledge and helps to create the atmosphere of this or that world culture. One of the most famous representatives of the genre is the Japanese composer Kitaro. Other vivid new-age performers are Enigma, Era and Gregorian.
