The soundtrack of the life of the playboy. In memory of Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner, the founder of the Playboy magazine, died at his estate in Los Angeles on September 27, 2017. Editorial Muzmo publishes a playlist, which he shared with users of Amazon Music on his 91st birthday in front of the premiere of a documentary about his life American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story. Hefner was born in 1926. Having started working as a military correspondent during the Second World War, he then settled in Esquire, from which he soon left. In 1953, Hugh's own money was issued the first Playboy number with a circulation of 50,000 copies with photographs of nude Marilyn Monroe. Playboy was never an exclusively erotic edition, the pages also contained stories by the best writers (from Truman Capote to Vladimir Nabokov), and interviews with representatives of the US intellectual elite, and investigative articles or celebrity materials. Fans of the magazine even often said in their defense that they were buying Playboy for the sake of articles. The playlist "Favorite songs of Hefa" is inspired by his love of jazz, which arose from early childhood, and mainly consists of jazz performers - Frank Sinatra, Billy Holiday. And also, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller and Aretha Franklin, who, moreover, became one of the first performers to perform at the Chicago Playboy club. "This is the music of my young years, which resonated with me through life, full of triumphs, triumphs and wonderful romantic love affairs, music that comforted me in times of sadness and darkness," he himself commented on the selection. "The music I love remains the soundtrack to my life and continues to bring me joy, inspire me and, most importantly, keep my heart open."
